As a new hunter in the area, you will be drawn to a series of special tasks that will guide you through two impressive environments and introduce you to a number of memorable characters. In New Laurentia, you will work alongside an experienced dog trainer and assist a former reserve ranger while investigating the mystery behind the unusual behavior of the local moose population. In Kilimaya Reserve, you will complete assignments for Hearth & Hunt, assist a famous safari guide, meet an eccentric archery instructor, and try to recruit a legendary huntress who has retired from active life. One of the key new features is your hunting dog – a loyal partner capable of detecting animal tracks, following blood trails, and finding wounded game. With regular exercises and training, its skills will gradually develop, making it an increasingly valuable helper during hunts. Your hunting lodge serves as a central point for every adventure. From there, you can plan your next outings, display earned trophies, and unlock upgrades to gradually build your ideal hunting retreat. Each map has its own lodge tailored to the specific territory. High-tech equipment is also available, expanding your observation and tracking capabilities. Enhanced night vision and more precise reserve monitoring tools help you keep track of habitats and make more informed decisions during hunts. The updated trophy system model makes every acquisition more individual. Trophies reflect the age, physical condition, and natural variations among animals, while rare atypical specimens add an extra element of unpredictability. The animal models themselves show more realistic differences in gender, maturity, and overall physical condition.
