The herbal mixture from Bilek is a high-quality plant product consisting of dry, crumbled leaves of smoketree (Cotinus coggygria). The herb has pronounced anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent, and hemostatic effects thanks to the naturally contained tannins and essential oil. This traditional product is intended exclusively for external use. The decoction from the leaves of smoketree is used for baths and compresses for hard-to-heal wounds and hemorrhoids, for gargling in inflammatory processes of the oral cavity, and for vaginal rinses. Directions for use: For baths and compresses, place 50 g of crumbled smoketree leaves in 2 L of boiling water. Boil for 20 minutes. Let stand at room temperature for 60 minutes. Strain through gauze. Baths and compresses with smoketree decoction are done 1-2 times a day. For vaginal rinses, gargling, and mouthwashes, place 2 tablespoons of crumbled smoketree leaves in 1 L of boiling water. Boil for 5 minutes. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Strain through gauze. Vaginal rinses, gargling, and mouthwashes with smoketree decoction are done 1-2 times a day. The shelf life of the decoction is 12 hours provided it is stored in a refrigerator at a temperature of 20-80°C without freezing.
