The replaceable pre-mechanical filtration cartridge Aquaphor K5 is made of extruded polypropylene with a 5-micron rating, designed to protect subsequent filters from clogging. It effectively removes insoluble particles such as sand, clay, rust, sediment, microplastics, and others. Thanks to the gradient structure of the polypropylene, the K5 retains significantly more impurities than its counterparts. The K5 preserves the mineral content and does not soften the water.
